Im thought about getting a ZZ4(350)crate motor from GM and was told that was too much torque (326 ft pds. atleast)for a 4 wheel drive...what kind of torque range should I look at ? And and whats a good setup....I was looking at the ZZ4 with the built 700r tranny..

well he said that meaning the transfer case and front diff. wouldn't handle it...A guy on ebay has the zz4 for sale..so I sent the same question and his response is like yours...he thought as long as my running gear was fine I should be alright...I have ( guessing ) a 373 posi.

Your front differential should handle that just fine. Its the u-joints and axle shafts you need to be more careful of. Just dont beat on it too hard offroading and it'll be fine.
