I have a 1979 Chevy K20, I just replaced the sending unit and now the gauge seems to work, except....When I went to test it, by moving my truck up on a bump to change the level in the tank, the needle jumped back and forth from the gas sloshing back and forth in the tank. Isnt the needle supposed to move slowly? I bought another gauge off of eBay and am waiting for it to arrive. I figured something was wrong with the gauge. Thanks for any help!

Update: Well, I got my fuel gauge from eBay, and that fixed the problem. But I had to do some switching around with the original fuel gauge and the one I bought, since it was from an earlier GMC it had different colors than my 79. All I did was drill the rivits out that held the metal plate and gauge together. Then I took the gauge I got off of eBay and screwed it back together to the original Plate and needle. Im sure you guys might not know what I am talking about, but anyway I fixed my problem. Thanks, Shane.
