Since my tranny crapped out on me the other day, I was wondering if anyone has done a swap from a th350 to a nv4500 in a 3/4 ton. I would like to have the five speed nv4500 instead of the four speed sm460. As another option, I have a 700r4 that I could rebuild or I could just rebuild the th350. Just looking for any insight/opinions about this.
I was wondering when something like this would come up. I have been thinking about puttin and nv4500 in my 77 3/4ton so im not running 3 grand on the highway. I think if you can get the tranfercase to bolt up to the tranny and the splines are the same i think it would work. Good Luck. and thanks in advance for any mopre replies.
