i tore up the carpet and found a little rust were it looks like he spilt something, i want to Rhino line the whole floor pan inside of my cab, Rhino line does not stick to rust, so i want the POR. IS there something else that is beeter to give me that bed liner coverege inside to protect it for-ever, and Terminate the rust, a new carpet kit is going in after so UV light is'nt a problem. Will the POR stick to none rusted parts of the cab? I have been doing some reading and i think this POR15 is a break through. Have i been mislead?
as far as ive heard and read any type rhino line type product that you use you should always remove the rust rust will not stop rusting unless its completely removed. try using a grinding wheel to remove it then some metal conitioner then just shoot some primer just to cover the bare metal. and remember though it can still rust from underneath. good luck
Por-15 is a great product! I have used for many projects and it does everything it claims to do. It will stop rust in its tracks. I am a aircraft mechanic by trade so I have my run ins with corrosion. Once you put this on its there for good!
thanks for the input, i have been brainstorming and i think it would look really slick looking if i did my rear-end housing, leafs, hangers and so on...up front also my a-arms and steering componets. but i was wondering about the wieght, i got a 74 1/2 ton, when done, will it be more like a 6 ton pickup? just curious thanks
