77 chevy truck, where get parts?

    i wouldnt go to jc... i would go to local junkyards or see if any local have any thing for sale....

    Plenty of good trucks get thrown away here in California. You can find good body panels in the junkyards or probably pick up a cheap parts truck for under $1K, tow it home and do a body swap.

    You might also want to find out when the next car/truck swap might be held in your area. I picked up some smoking deals on parts for my 86 GMC at one recently. Wreckers are good but are probably less motivated to negotiate than someone who doesn't want to lug a ton of stuff home after the swap meet is over :)

    This is just my opinion, but if at all possible, finds the original parts rather than buying aftermarket/new parts. The newer crap they make sucks and is foriegn, where as most original parts were made in USA and are good quailty. Anyone agree?

    I have found that a great place to get parts that actually fit is #####,They have a web site and a great catalog that breack down most trucks almost to the frame. Prices are good too. WWW.#####.com
