GEAR DRIVER

    whoa buddy i heard a truck with a gear driver and now i NEED one. i have a jasper 350 rv cam where should i look for a gear driver at? what exactly help do? thanks boys.

    i would check out Jegs or summit racing first, and the gear drives are extremly loud, they are only cool for about the first month- then you cant stand iut really. all they do is keep your timming perfect without any chains that get worn or strecthed out.

    but they are good head turners! Everybody thinks your packing a supercharger/blower under the hood.

    edelbrock makes some that will fit under your stock timming cover

    thanks alot...i have an 86 fully redone and i was at o'reilys (sp) car show the other day and heard one and i was like ##### you must have one hell of a blower on that he said nope gear driver...so now i think i just need one.. thanks again...Jeff

    pretty simple, just pull off your water pump and timming cover, the chain, crank gear, and cam gear and replace it with the driver, your going to want a dual-idler gear drive, much more accurate and and simpler to install, plus you never have to adjust it:7

    Hold that thought Jethro, in order to pull off the timing chain cover you have to drop the oil pan which either means pulling the motor or at least jacking it up some.

    i finally put in a gear driver if u ever do this read this first...DONT DO IT...haha god i hated that project it sucked..if you DO do this and u get stumpped ask me il b glad to help...jeffl02@Juno.com..
