have an 87 350 Fuel Injection. Was driving home tonight and the engine had been running a little rough all night and about a mile from home I stopped at a stop sign and it died. Then I got it started and a lot of smoke blew out of the pipes. It barely ran the last mile home and died again in the drive way. It stays running in park but when I put it in Drive or reverse it gets really rough and dies. any suggestions?

Check for clogged fuel filter, if good, check for exhaust restrictions, like clogged converter.

looked at it better today and 99% sure the head gaskets blew. Oil was cloudy and water and white smoke were coming out really bad this morning

I am not sure, for one, I bought it from a guy who didnt take care of it. Two it says 95k+ on the odometer, but that could be turned over already. Might be 195+
