NO FIRE IN DISTRIBUTOR

    Hey boys i need sum help we just finished hooking vacume lines up on a new motor and i turned the key all it did was turn over gas was going through everything was good but...no fire..we got a timing gun and no light came on the distributor has power it is good it is a brand new Distributor. idk maybe the coil is bad but it ran b4 we took it out of the old 305...i know sumone has the answer... help...thats boys.

    Is it seated all the way down ? The gear on the shaft maybe misplaced...what size motor did you replace the 305 with ?

    If it is a HEI you might want to check the brain in the disributer- if it isn't your coil it is a good chance to be the brain. Also chech to be sure you have the little rubber pad and the coil pickup in the cap right!!
