I just bought a 79 GMC and I want to use the VIN # to lookup what I have. Is there anyway to do this? All the sites I have gone to won't lookup anything pre '81.

Try www.chuckschevytruckpages.com and click on VIN #s. They have a reference for 79-80 VINs
