The gear on my speedometer is shot and I need to replace it. I recently read an article that indicated at least three different sizes of gears may be available. I'd like to use the correct one and wonder what information I need to have to order the correct gear.

I have a 1979 K1500 4x4 with the stock 350 cu. in. engine and 4 speed transmission. I have 235/75/15 tires on the truck.

    Any help is appreciated.

we do not carry the speedo gears you will have to look at a tranny shop to find them.

Speedometer gears only cost 3 or 4 bucks at a tranny supply place. If you take your old one with you it should be easy to match it up.
