Being new to American automotive iron (ask me a question about Series 3 Land Rovers!), I have a question; I just bought a 1963 GMC Fenderside, 305 V6. Hard to find some parts specifically for GMC, but exactly how alike were these to manufacturers? Is most of the bodywork/chassis/suspension identical? I know engine-wise it is a different story. How about wiring? Will a Chevy manual cover everything except engine?

    Hello again PT !

The GMC share similar body components like fenders , cab, hood and doors. Pretty much EVERYTHING else is different. Suspension, frame and yes, wiring are not the same as the GMC.
