Yep, I have a 348 that I want to sell that I took out of my '67 a few months ago. I am trying to restore it to as much original as possible so I put a 327 in it that I rebuilt. Don't really want to part with the 348, but I don't have alot of extra space in the garage and the wife wants it gone. Any interested, just let me know. Thanks, '67longstep
(charlie) If it was a good 348 that ran like it should have you will really miss the throttle response. NOTHING LIKE A BIG BLOCK !!!
You may wantr to post it on the 348-409 page. http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/187005 Time to brag; We ran a steel '55 Chevy sedan with a 348 bored to 370". It had 409 heads, roller cam, dual AFBs, Jahns fire slot pistons, etc. best run was 11.89 @ 117mph. We pulled it apart to lighten the pistons & rods. On the next pass, it blew at the top of 2nd gear. You know it's bad when you oil the track. When we got in the pits, there was a chunk of cylinder wall & a piece of piston ring laying on the frame. That was the end of that combination!
