Does anyone know if you can cut truck doors to make them Blazer door. If so can you please let me know the proper procedure. Thank You for any information that you have
Dont go there yet. I am looking into picking up a pair of 71 4x Blazers this comming weekend. I hope to make one good one out of the pair but will have plenty of body parts left over. The bodys are good just lots of detail parts and drivetrain damage on one. I'll reply again when I know more for sure.
Sure the doors will work, the plastic cap at the top of the vent window pillar will cover the cut on the front and the rear felt window channel will cover it at the rear. I m doing the same thing on my '71 blazer
One more thing that's different is that Blazer doors have a reinforcing plate behind the door hinges. You need that plate when the tops off and not helping the tub structurally. Pretty soon the hinges will crack around the base without the plate
OUTSIDE! THEY ARE SPOT WELDED TO YOUR BLAZER DOORS. THERE ARE ALSO LITTLE RUB PLATES TOWARD THE TOP OF YOUR DOORS & ON THE JAM OF YOUR BODY.
I have also gone the route of curtting truck doors to fit my '71. Where can I get the plastic caps that go on top of the vent window pillar? Please help! I cant find then anywhere!
