Towing weight 1966 C10 Stepside

    Can somebody please tell me the maximum allowable towing weight of a 1966 C10 Shortbed Stepside.

    It would probably be 5000lbs with 300lbs tounge weight. But if you are going to use this as a towing rig do not use lowering springs and I would recommend 3/4 ton springs in the back. There might be some info about this in the 1963 manual.
