Sweet ! . No vent wigns tho' too ~ bad . Non Air Conditioned trucks really need them as do trucks drivien in cold weather as they boost defrosting greatly . Any restorations in there ? . Showroom looks very nice !
It has vent wings...that photo was before we had the glass in it. We did a frame up restoration of it in our showroom. Sent it out for body work and paint but almost everything else was done in our showroom. That is the only restoration that we currently have in the showroom. We do have a Cameo that is being professionally restored. We also have a 1987 Chevy Silverado ShortBed that has 89 (not 89K, just 89) original miles on it. It still has all of the factory plastic coverings on the door panels, seats, etc...just like it was delivered to the dealer. We bought it from a guy about 6 years ago who bought it, stored it, and the sold it to us.
Ah, yeah, thats nice . . . How much? I'll trade you a restored '65 for it with dodge viper blue paint. All the new parts on it are from you guys, so its basically yours anyway.
We built it to drive it...if we sold it what fun would that be ... well it would be fun for the person that we sold it to I guess.
Hot Rod Robert ; That's a sweet truck but it IS NOT RESTORED ! as a professional in this auto trade you should be carefull how you present things... I like it yes but it's in no way ' restored ' . " Restored " means ' as new ' , _STOCK_ . Period . (rant over)
Serious As A Heart Attack No , of course not ~ I take this carreer VERY seriously , if I showed up to Pebble Beach or any other serious car show with this truck and tried to enter it in any " restored " class, they'd laugh me right off the field . " restored " means stock including bias ply tires , non metallic paints , AC spark plugs and rubber cased 6 volt battery.... BTW : _my_ truck is -not- stock , it's a POC work truck . I did restorations for many years on the clock .
what kind of engine did you put in her? i agree with nate on restored vs. "rebuilt" (for lack of a better word). be that as it may, she's a beauty!
sweet! Don't get me wrong! i've got nothing against a nice street rod as long as the integrety of the vehicle is not changed. My dad and i are "purists" (Or at least he was) but you gotta love the simplicaty and beauty of a 216 purring inside of a massive amount of metal as in anything made in the 40's and eaely 50s. Stovebolts forever!!
