If I do a power steering conversion on my 55 do I have to re-locate the front shouck mounts to clear the gearbox at its new location. I have heard it done both ways which is correct?
I've read the instructions from 4 different vendors of kits that use late 60's thru mid 80's GM power steering boxes on the outside of the frame in front of the front axle. All say that the driver's side front shock needed to be moved from the front side of the axle to the rear side.
