Pilot Bushing removal

    I tried Nate's suggestion on removing an old pilot bushing. You load the hole with grease then use a wooden dowl, along with a hammer to force out the bushing, utilizing hydraulic pressure. I did not have a wooden dowl, so I used a same size 3" bolt wrapped in teflon tape, then whacked it with a hammer. It worked like a charm. Please forgive for doubting.

    You can also whittle down a bit of old broomstick ;)

    There's lots more of these simple , olde tyme tricks I'm still learning , thanx to good folks like you all .
