My motor does not have an oil filter. Maybe next week, I will be getting the motor back from the machine shop. I would like to have an inexpensive oil filtering device, expecially since I live in dusty west Texas. O'Reilly's has one for $27, bolt onto firewall maybe, then buy the screw on filter. I am guessing the canister types to be expensive and hard to find. Any thoughts? KentC
I think you will find a link for exactly this on the inliners site, tells you how to plumb it all in great detail. Neil ________ PORNSTARS CANADIAN
Hi Kent, I hooked up with a guy named James Sayre who is parting out a '54 half ton. I got a lot of parts from him pretty inexpensive. The truck still has the motor in it. Maybe he has the canister type filter on the motor. The '58 engine that I just picked up had one attached to it, so stranger things could happen. HIs email is jims1948@hotmail.com Good luck, Andy
Just so ~ find a $50.00 junker engine then buy the filter off of it , be sure to get the funny shaped T block connector off the old engine and the special U bolts that hold it to the intake maifold . Chevy Duty sells" Just So " oil filter hoses cheaply , don't mess about with old rotten hoses that'll crack and leak . New Oil filter with every hot oil change !
