    Hey All

    Sorry, i havent been on for a long time. I was on a lot more often in the spring when i was working on my 50 chev pickup. Thanks a ton nate for all your help then.

    I was just comming on to let all know that my truck has been my primary truck all summer. Last spring I drove it from edmonton, ab to vancouver bc through the rocky mountains (1400km). When i got to van i decided to move up to whistler(about 150km). I drive it back and forth form whis to van about two times a month. :cool: It hasnt missed a beat.

    Its all pretty much original. I upgraded the 216 to a 235 for the oil pump. I have bendix brakes on the front and huck on the back. Its all still 6 volt. I now dont know why i was even thinking of making it 12 volt. It works wicked. The only thing not original on it is the 235 and the wheels. Other than that its just pure sickness. ha ha.

    For all those wondering about he reliability? No probs.

    jeff

    Real trucks have 5 pedals. e brake, high beams, clutch, brake and gas.

    :D Ok, Ok Ok, lets put this to bed now! REAL TRUCKS have four pedals! gas, brake, clutch and starter! e-brake technically is not a pedal because it does not return after stepping on it! and high beam is a switch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    FOUR FOUR FOUR FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You Brits take EVERYTHING so seriously! Guess what i'm doing starting tomorrow? Vacation, or as you chaps say, holiday! Working on the '50 all week. No phones, no internet, etc. I'll be primed when i get back! Be prepared for questions galore!!!

    Jeff ;

    Good to hear it's working out O.K. , I keep telling folks this but they keep scrapping out old trucks by taking all apart then loosing interest... :(

    I bet that Rocky Mountain trip was really fun ! .
