    The assembly manual electrical diagram has a RD abbreviation in it. What does the RD stand for?

    I'm not sure what you are looking at but a couple of common ones are

    RD = Red
    RD = Rear Defrost

    I have the Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual 1954. (RS-56-SM). on page12-2 there's a wiring diagram. On several of the lines there's a * with the note " all wires marked * are used for RD only".

    thanks,
