Hi sickies, yes the holes are prob for the trim that runs all the way around the screen. there should be a metal garnish moulding thats in two halves and then one piece that runs straight up the middle. CD do new stainless ones, look under glass on the online store. not sure if they do the middle section as I only had a quick look.

    Re:Defroster Holes

Looks like you might have a problem since you have a chopped top, sickies. As brit 50 says, the inside windshield molding covers these holes and it is in two separate pieces. How good at cutting and welding are you?

Hey Rick, nice truck. How much did you chop off of the truck? You'll have to do some modification to your garnish moulding to accomodate the chopped cab.

Hey Neil, the ss mouldings that CD shows in their catalog are for the outside I believe. The inside moulding is also flared at the bottom where the defrosters are to allow air to hit the windshield.

The holes are for the vents that attach from under the dash with small screws. Since the moulding has a slight bow to it, it allows for the screws to protrude through the dash.

I guess i have confused myself. Not hard to do. :) The inside garnish moulding just runs along the bottom of the windshield/top of dash, right? It does not go all of the way around the windshield on the inside like it does on the outside, right?

yep, the trim let's call it, is in 2 piece's, driver side and passenger side, there is also a piece that runs down the middle. It runs along the dash just under the windshield, up and around.

Hey Rick, by the way, welcome! We put the "Fun" in dysfunctional! :D Here's how to handle your wife! Tell her it's her truck! If she's anything like my wife, she'll take an instant liking to it! I keep on telling myself that, but you know, i really think, when it all comes down to it, it makes her happy to know that i'm happy! I'm i sick, or what? I love that girl! (I hope she reads this post):D
