I have posted this question on another forum and got different answers...so thought I'd give a shout here. I have a stock recirculating heater and want to turn off hot water to heater. Does the inline valve go in line from thermostat or from water pump? (Not sure if it matters but heater is in my 50 1/2 ton and engine is a '57 235) Chuck
Chuck- What other board do you post on? I'm over at the Stovebolt site quite a bit. You would want to put the valve on the "output" side. Since the water circulates from the thermostat to the heater back to the water pump, you would put the valve up at the thermostat. That is also what the accessory installation manual says.
Tim, I lurk over at Stovebolt everyday and post as blue 50. Those guys over there have forgotten more than I'll ever know! I got the same info from Wrenchbender. The only reason I was confused was in another catalog they sell a valve that fits in to water pump and say that was stock position. Thanks for the info. Chuck
