I'm wondering about the aftermarket car stereo's such as those sold by CP. On my cab the original radio opening has been modified smaller which in such a way that they just used bondo...the bondo peeled right off to reveal the original opening. I didnt notice this until I sandblasted the dash........the only damage that was done is someone drilled approx 7/16" diameter holes 6" on center.....the originals are 7 1/2" on center............my main concern is wheter the aftermarket stereo's are 7 1/2" like the stock radio shafts are......if they are i'd like to weld the 6 " on center holes closed..........any info is appreciated.........

    Thanks,

    Leon

I don't know about the measurements but the welding of the other holes are really no big deal. Make sure you put a small peice of sheet metal under the dash over the hole and weld solid. Grind down and a little body filler, you'll never know that they were there.
