I am in search of a picture of a stock firewall for a 51....3100........they're probably the same from 47 to 53 ??. Why im needing a picture for this is I think there are some holes that don't belong on mine I want to figure out which holes I need to weld shut.

    thanks for the help

This is a 54 but I think it is pretty stock. Most of the holes should be in common with the earlier ones.

    Thanks for the help

Hello guys I dont think I have formally introduced myself yet....although i'v asked a few questions already....my name is Leon and im from Western Massachusetts where the summers are hot and winters are freezing....I am 32 years of age and I work full time as a Machinist/CNC programmer/fabricator . My hobby's consists of rebuilding my '51 3100 and in the early spring I am usually found building several chevy small blocks for circle track racing for a few friends..i'v been doing it for a good 15 years....do the math :D .....anyway here is the firewall I worked so hard on over the weekend............I couldnt really do much with it until I replaced the floorpans and kick panels but once that was done I welded all those x-tra holes someone was nice enough to leave for me. I really enjoy this site and all the great guys on it..... .........ok enough boring you guys.....i'm going to go read some archive stuff on here.

    Later

Leon, thanks for the picture. I will send you a picture of my '50 tomorrow when i get to the office. It looks like you've got all of the original holes in yours from what i can see. I'll send you a pic of the firewall from this point of veiw as well as one from inside the cab for comparison.

Rt. 128 is now more commonly known as I-95 I believe......

There is a good chance I was driven home from the hospital I was born in , in my folks 1947 AD Suburban...... they were given it to replace thier old 1937 Mercury woody wagon .

I should ask mom I guess , she's a little hazy on some of those details .
