I scrapped the vette rear end idea after finding issues with mounting and fabrication and cost. I have now found a posi rear end in a '72 camero for dirt cheap and wondering if ya'all have put one in a '55-59 chevy. It is about 4 hours away so any help ya got would be GREAT!!
    Thanks, Boise Steve

measure your axle from brake drum to drum-and get measurements for camaro-and that will tell you. One of my friends used a a camaro with no trouble, but you will have to install spring perches after you cut off the mounts for the previous coil springs. Just for info-a 1969 chevy posi rear from a truck with leaf springs is a direct bolt in.

    rear end

Thanks a lot for the info Lee on the 69 rear end. A guy I met yesterday hooked me up with a do-it-all guy that can make brackets for the vette rear end at only 25 per hour. I am still looking for a solid axle just in case.
