    Pretty funny:p Here I am at my local Ford dealership with my 1954 Chevrolet 3100 needing warranty service. Sure that will happen ? Interesting is probably being polite. $55k is huge sure they have people lining up to buy these:D Sorry I will stick to my below 17k investment and drive the real thing. Plus I can pull into my own garage anytime for my own self warranty coverage-(As in out of my own back pocket).

    Lol

    You fellows ar just tooooo much. I sure do get a laught out of some of the responses on here..

    I do agree, I would MUCh rather have the Boops truck with a chevy engine, chevy parts, and the chevy name.

    I do wonder how many will line up to purchase one though.

    BTW- for ONLY $10.000 you can pre-purchase,,, and you get to drive it before you have to pay the additional $45.000.00. Sounds like a deal to me:eek:

    Outdoor beer cooler

    The only redeeming factor about "36 degrees with snow" is that your back yard can become a huge cooler to keep your beer cold!:D

    Well guys, you can go out to your garages and give your trucks a satisfying pat, copying is the sincerest form of flattery, just goes to show that after all these years these trucks are so good they want to make replicas, Im just smug that my ones a real honest to goodness original!!!!!

    Winter, its good sometimes, coming out and having trouble opening the door cos the door seal is frozen, then hoping it will start, when it does you do the stalling dance, the one where your de-iceing the windows and have to keep running round to keep the engine from stalling while its on choke, you know, where you listen for the rump d rump to get to a rump.....d........rump and any minute its gonna choke up and not start again, and ice inside your windows because your heater isn't like the blast from a merlin jet engine, seriously now, I like a spell of winter, gives the sun a vacation, but at least you know its cold and the roads can catch you out, unlike new cars, warm in 2 mins, windows electrically de-frosted in 30 secs, you dont notice how cold and icey it really is, and I wonder when idiotic drivers will realise abs don't work on black ice, new motors detatch you from the elements too much and make you feel invincible. sorry ranting on a bit.

    On a lighter note, just watched "cars" the pixar movie, as a gear head i loved it! had some dark times recently so it was just what the doctor ordered.

    I have heard some other chat on this truck and folks have said that the reason it has Ford running gear in it is because GM wouldn't agree to do warranty work for them, Ford would.

    You know guys this southern truck is a great looking truck. I love the car front end on it and everything. But this truck is for the rich people who have alot of money and NO talent to build it themselves. People who buy their vehicle already done and don't know anything about it, then show it and stick their noses up to us who build ours really piss me off.:mad: Okay enough preaching for the day. I can't wait to put my truck into a show with one of these trucks and rub my best of show trophy in their face. Then pull out of the show feeling good about myself that I built my truck, not bought it off of the assembly line.:D Okay I promise NOW no more preaching:rolleyes:

    Tag!

    It just goes to show you how hard F*%# will go to discredit GM. GM wouldn't put a drivetrain in it, but F+*@ will? Really, as the song says, "I FEEEEEL GOOD! I knew that I would...." If Southern isn't telling us we have taste in our rides- who is?! (And I lived in SC for a year and a bit also- for whatever that's worth.) If I had that kinda' money, I'd STILL rebuild(?) my own from the ground up! I remember the couple of months I drove my RESTORED 1950 at the tender age of 16. Every little noise it made, I knew where it came from and what was the cause. Why? It was MY BABY! These people are buying a look- they'll never have what we have. Just my thoughts.;)

    Yeah ;

    I guess it's cool that the folks who don't ' Ken ' the mechanic bit can enjoy these old trucks too sorta-kinda .

    Me , I'll be far happier rattling & wheezing down a deserted desert highway in my rusty POC '49 than I could possibly be in any new truck :rolleyes:

    Someday I'll be forced to drive a newer vehicle , untill then , life's too short to drive a new truck ! .
