Sorry forgot to say replaced the voltage reglator & alternator on it also, the wireing was in bad shape knew one of those were keeping it from chargeing so I went on the safe side replaced all three of those parts.

Good thing I have an electrical background. When I first bought my 66 I had a small electrical fire. It started at one bumper and ended at the other. I made my own harness. I used 14 awg for all the 16 awg wire and 12 awg for all the 14 awg wire. My lights are brighter and bulbs last longer. I also use 2 awg for the battery cables. It helps to get her started when it is -20 outside. She still cranks right over. My only problem is I don't have as many colors to choose from at Autozone. So when I run into my next electrical problem it will make it harder to track out. I did update all the wire colors on a copy my electrical diagram.
