I was wondering if anyone might know where i can find out how a v8 mounts into the chasis of a 60 chevy. I am trying to swap engines from the 235 to a 305 but cant find any referrence to how the origianal factory mounted the V8 in the chasis. PLEASE HELP!!!!

In 60-62 they had a mount that went from frame rail to frame rail, looked like a horse shoe. My 61 is like that. I'll try to get you some pics of it. Jeremy

    235 To 305

    No,
Unless Your 305 Is Of The Same Era As Your 235 They Won't Bolt Up Gm Made A Early Block With A Narrower Bolt Pattern I Think They Changed Around '64 If You Are Looking To Go Automatic You Should Try A Place Called "advanced Adapters" Even If You're Not They Might Have A Adapter To Goto Late Model Blocks To Early Model Bellhousings This Will Enable You To Use The Original Bellhousing Cross Member.
