I've enjoyed the pics! But question for you. You've got a V-Nate engine in it. What kind is it it? I'm too "mellow" right now to search previous posts to see if you've told us. My question is: Looking at the pics, it appears as if you have "vintage" gauges in the truck. Specifically, 30# on the oil pressure gauge. Is that enough for your V8? I know mine peaks at 60# and runs at temp at around 45#. Just curious and a simple fix.

Hey Ken I know the question wasn't for me but I'll chime in anyway. A V8 can peak out up to 80lbs and get as low as 15 - 20lbs and run at highway speeds at 40-50lbs and this is perfectly normal.

Yep, it's an 8 banger. 350 to be specific, and the guage is supposed to be for a v-8, at least that's what I ordered. I hadn't caught the 0-30, guess i just took for granted that it was right. I'll have to check it out. I gues though if it pegs out, i'll know its got pressssssssure.:D

Who ever the kind person was that had it before me coonfingered every guage. NOT ONE worked, Not even the speedo. That was donated from a 72 chevy pu. Fit exactly in the place of the old unit. Just dissasembled, cleaned, ran back to 0000000 and installed. We drove the ol gal for about a month before i decided to fix a few other minor issures, now you see where I'm at. The hole kept getting deeper and deeper, ya know how that goes.

It ain't nuttin special, straight out of an 80 camaro which is where the clip and tranny came from, rear end also

Anyway, I'll have to check the guage and get back widya.
