    wow!

I'm not sure, but I'd say you're gonna have one bad-ass ride there! Yes, when you get a chance, let us in on what your combo is there + suspension brand. As far as the site goes, we've pretty well figured that if you cracked us all open, we're all nuts!:D Welcome!

    hey guys

    Thanks for the welcome.

The setup I have is as follows:

    Summit Racing 350 punched to a 383

    700 R4 tranny

Complete March polished alum front components including a/c and power steering

    4-Link rear w/polished coil overs

SCP quick change rear end w/additional 1 qt holding tank

2" dropped Mustang II front end w/power rack

    Center Line 17" Trigon wheels 8" front. 12" back w 6 3/4 offset

Geeze, that's all I can remember right now. I am currently putting cab corners on, and I plan on a Bitchin' fire wall and tapered inner fenders. Also am planning on suicide doors. Anyone worked with them yet?

I have done a few Mustang II front ends. The last one was on a 53 F-100 Pro Street that I built. They are simple as long as you can weld AND use a steel tape measure. Parts are plentiful. I have used Zig's Street rods in the past. They have great package deals on front ends and everything else. Brake boosters, braided lines, disc kits etc. Let me know if I can help w/ anything

im more worried about the measurements for the cross member and shock towers than anyhting else. The welding is no problem.

Okay! You're doing something I've had a ton of doubt about. The under-the-floor booster that your using. How are you going to check its level or add fluid? Some posts back there was the idea of a mirror and a fill tube. If I tried that, I'm sure I'd have fluid everywhere but where it was supposed to go. Will you use a remote fill?
What you have is a thing of beauty! Just put a wheel on it and drive it as is- we'd understand completely! What did you paint your frame with? (And will that match the color of the body?) Thanks for filling us in!

Shot the frame, rear end, and 4-link parts with an epoxy enamel. Yes it will match the bottom half of the truck. Thinking of either pearl white for the top or black. Any thoughts?
Currently I am betwixed.....do I enlarge the hole in the floor for the master cylinder fill, or do I go remote? I like the clean look under the hood, so I may opt fot the door in the floor with a couple of Zeus fasteners.
My last project took a few awards, I want this one better! I drive them, so there are always a few road marks. That's why I take so much time on the chassis and underparts...easier to clean.
I'll start posting a few of the before and afters tomorrow.
Thanks for the uplifting comments guys!

The measurements are no problem on the front end. It all woks off of the center point of your front, original spring mount. The instructions that come with it are very clear.
Besides, if your handy, you can always fix a minor screw up. that's what I like about metal!!!!

Welcome blind man. By the looks of that ride of yours I think you see very well. Truly a beautiful ride so far.

You mentioned suicide doors. I'm planning on making my own hinges for the doors and using bear claw latches. The door brake I'm gonna use is out of a BMW 750IL, (new body style). I work for BMW so the parts are easy for me to get. The door brake is a single cylinder shock that will hold it's position at any position you put it in. The shock cylinder goes inside the door and the small end will mount to the cab. I'll try to take pics of this setup in the next couple of days so that it will be more clear to you. A good source for an idea of how to make your own hinges will be go to :

    www.suicidedoors.com

That's where I got my format for making my own. Plus those guys are pretty cool and will help with any question you could come up with. They also cut me a brake on the air ride I just ordered through them.

Keep the pics coming on that ride and welcome to the site.

    Door brake picture

This is the picture of the door brake that I had promised I would take. The hole in one side will have a bolt going through it and is bolted to the bottom of the door. The black rubber is what seals the opening in the door. The small black end is like a heim joint (? spelling) that fits on a balled end inside of your cab. This is how I plan on keeping my doors open and it will all be hidden and should look pretty clean. The one I have now is broken but I have it so I can do a mock up so I will buy new ones when the time comes.

I definately like to be different in things I'm doing with my truck. If we all built them the same then the trucks would just be boring.
