i really could use any information that any one can provide.

i did e-mail CD about some information and they said i have to cut about an inch off each side to make it fit. but when i looked at it i would have to cut of about 2.5 inchs but then the hangers that mount to the motor would be touching the hangers that attach to the frame of the truck. and im sure that i would still not have enough room to install it in the frame.

Not sure what you mean about the motormounts coming close to the mounts on the frame but here's some help.

I take it you have no engine in place right now. If this is the case, you have a lot of measuring to do before you bolt the crossmember in place.

If your engine is already in, get the crossmember positioned with motormounts in place. Mark your place you are mounting the brackets and drill your holes thru the frame. Make sure your that if you do have to cut the crossmember, you don't cut it too much. Once you have it all in place and the engine centered, you have to tack weld the crossmember to it's brackets to keep it all from moving around.

This project is only as hard as you make it. It is really rather simple.

    Hope this helps,

    Mike

I bought the chevy duty motor and trans mount. i ended up wrecking the motor mount because it was shipped with the wrong end plates I ended up using the kits from chassis engineering Their kit comes with measurements where to put the mounts and they fit well I also used their trans crossmember and that just bolted in place of the original
