ahhh, no good. The old tymers get there at like 4 and leave by 9 at the latest. They get there early and setup speakers and 50's diner music. I like the atmosphere though. I like looking around at everything, but dont think my car would really fit in there. They like the classic looks with NOS cars. I like all of it. If you ever are near middletown youre more than welcome at my house. I can usually use a hand on the truck as well. haha ________ VAPIR NO2
My bad. I keep politics out of my office and will keep it off here from now on. I remember what happened with the whole gun issue on a previous thread and should have known better
Well, there's two things you and I can't talk about, Andy. Politics and guns are out but ADs are fair game. So to speak. Gater
it was 90 her in socal last weekend. just think if you did live in florida you would have even more rust to repair. the place to be is mohave ca. where it almost never rains... i found an old 1 ton 54 in the bushes there. the thing had no paint since they burned the truck 20 years ago. took the wind wing and some hinges. they are still useable.. look at my post youll see the adventure...
Hold all calls, we have a winner! The truck is looking great. I had to chuckle at the one pic that shoed the truck with the writing on the side "Driver carries no cash". I could write on mine "Driver is driving what little cash he had". It is good that the little one is involved. Several on this forum have their kids involved with their trucks and that is a good thing. Welcome. Gater
I hate the cold too , that's why I decided to stay way out West . At least there's no rust when it's cold..... Your truck is looking good . Back in the 70's , there used to be a whole junkyard out by JawBone Cyn. chock full of 30's & 40's cars & trucks that died out on the highway.... Keep up the good work .
we got over 8 inches of snow yesterday ay my house, low of 3 tonight, truck work postponed again ________ Vermont marijuana dispensaries
I have a theory! When i was young, the cold didn't affect me. The older i get, the more sudden temp. changes kick my butt. My knee is the best indicater of that because i lose control of it 2 days in advance of a cold front! My theory is: When you're 20, you can stand 20 degree days, when you're 30, you can handle temps in the 30's. At 40, better have days in the 40's. Now that i'm 50 plus, i'm OK as long as it doesn't get below 50. Do you see a pattern here? I'm looking forward to my 60's and 70's. Damn, i hope i don't live to be 110!
I remember shoveling snow out of the engine compartment of my buddies '70 R/T Charger and doing a 440 magnum engine install in the street in sub freezing weather in the middle of February. That car was a rocket sled. Too bad he didn't keep it. It is worth major league bucks now. I would never do it again. My bones are getting a little old for that kind of work. Happy I got my tranny in before the cold really hit here. Now the truck just sits and waits for spring or at least a nice 40 degree day. Andy
We've had the same sheet of ice out in front of our house since the Friday before MLK, Jr. day. I'm getting tired of walking like I got leg irons on. However, I get the feeling that Mother Nature doesn't worry about what I think of her handi-work. Rats.
