    Does anyone have any advice on installing a spin-on oil filter on a 1960 261 engine?
    The lines to the stock oil filter are 3/4 inch.

    Thanks

    Hi Tim ;

    Why not go to a Fram or Wix catalog and look in there - it's a standard filter base , just get some hoses & clamps , etc. .

    Happy New Year

    Nate,

    I would like to use the base (head) of my stock 1960 261 canister filter. Do you know if there
    is a conversion kit to mount a spin-on filter? I have found kits like your earlier recommendations
    to replace the original base/head (for between $15-20).

    Here is a kit that I think will work but it is not mass produced and is therefore relatively
    expensive.

    Thanks, Tim
