Wow, Cool golf carts back in the 50s

    Thought you fellows might enjoy this pic of a fine lookin golf cart. Didn't know they made these things back in the 50's:D

    Found it today in some of my patrolin, lookin for bad guys. I might just have to take up golfin to get to drive something like this...:cool:

    This is the Golf cart that got Just a bit of power.:) Has a 9" ford diff, power glide tran has been cut down has set up like a dragster, drive shift is 6", 1980 sbc 4BBL, putting out about 180-200Hp.( power to weight WoW )
    Still all stock in the front steering wheels, no brakes in front.
    This can light up the rear tires, I have been on the thing it really pick up.
    lifts the front and makes the steering light
    I think He will have to put some 4 point seat belts in, @ 35mph 40KM it
    get a little bouncy above that you have to drive it and really hold on. he like thing move good he thinking of putting more power. He just finished it this summer for his pit ride and promo now and then. He alway helps out with kids race class big harted guy Mike D. tough racer.

    Since we are on the subject of carts, check this one out. This is from Food City, a grocery store chain that sponsors races at Bristol, TN. That is about 20 miles from my house.

    There's one of these in the L.A. area , I haven't seen it in 10 years or so since they moved it out of open storage...

    I forget the dtore name , Hugh's or maybe BOY's Market .
