    The reason I specified 54-55.1 GMC was that this gauge exactly fits in the tach/clock hole in the 54-59 GMC dashes. Of course only 54-55.1 were 6 volt systems.

    I know this , I just like well made acessories .

    I have some vintage Sun testing gauses that were made in the late 1940's , I love & use 'em all the time .

    I picked up an NOS in box Sun tach/dwell meter and timing light off Craig's list for 10 bucks a pop about two months ago. Sweeeet!:D

    Yup ;

    There's a _lot_ of this typ of stuff out there and sadly , it either gets on the wall of a restaurant as it's cool looking then goes in the dumpster in two years when they change up or , a ' serious collector ' (means jerkoff) gets it and stashes it away never to be used nor even looked at....:mad:

    C'est La Vie , no ? :(

    I'm off to do field work to-day , if you see a white '49 tooling down the I-110 fwy to Wilmington , Ca. , that'll be me ~ going to resurrect a nice looking '38 Master DeLuxe for Louie .
