    I am a new member looking for some big help
    I feel like a cheap whore. I was told that a th350 was a direct hook up from my old two speed. it wasnt. i had to change out the yoke and now the drive shaft is too long. can anyone tell my how much i need to cut out of my drive shaft to make it work. Sorry I have a 65c20 lwb

    Sounds like you found us a bit too late Pard. Had you asked here? You would have gotten a complete and accurate answer.

    Back to your question. You will need to do some measuring. I'll assume that you still have the two-piece drive shaft with the carrier bearing still in there.

    Measure from the center of the carrier bearing yoke to the center of the transmission yoke. AND, be sure you tell the guy shortening the driveshaft that is how you took the measurments.

    Shortening the drive shaft, balancing, and installing new universal joints should run you a shade over $100 and take about a day in any good driveline shop.
