I quess the AD bug is kicking back into high gear with the near finishing of "Rusty". I quess I will need a new poll for a new name since "Rusty" just doesn't seem to fit anymore. I'm adding a link to show all the pics I have of "Rusty" from day 1. Don't worry they are in thumbnails.Click on pics to see large. There is no certain order. Beware!!! there are alot. Don't say I didn't warn ya!! Have fun and start thinking of names..

    Most excellent

I've got a name in mind already. Every time i see a purple car or truck at a show, it reminds me of the old Sheb Wooley song..."It was a one eyed, one horned flying purple people eater"

Ken, your good, you read minds as well. The Purple People Eater was the first thought I had... Now I wonder how many people know who he is, and remember the song. I got the tape if anybody want to know. My kids watched it 100 times:eek:

So do we get to decide? The Purple People Eater it is:D

Or should we wait on the teacher to make this decision?

Appreciate the thoughts. Went to see the truck this morning to give my weekly blood. Bad news hit me in the face. Right side running board was bad, ordered new 1 today...so now I have an extra pair...someone needs to come get these parts. Just asking for small love donation to "Rusty". Vintage air is in and looks good. I do recommend not paying the extra for the chrome dyer since it is hidden anyways.

Thank God that Ken has applied that name to "the truck formerly known as Rusty". Now I can just keep referring to my truck as "my truck".

    formerly known

Gee, was that a result of you thinking of a song/movie called "the color purple" by The Artist Formerly Known As Prince?

A suitable moniker for Rusty in his new "color purple": PRINCE, the truck formerly known as Rusty.

Man, I like it, and is only one syllable so it only takes me a fifteen seconds to say it. Kiss the the ugly truck and it becomes a Prince! (after several years and a diversion of your retirement funds).

    But then again-

My four year old daughter is singing, "I love you. You love me. We're a happy family..." I guess her vote is Barney. 6 letters, fits a custom plate.:D

Guys, I have to say that I even spilt alittle of my BL while reading those names. I do appreciate the thoughts..Still trying to decide. I think I will write down about 4 of the best names when truck is down and give you guys the choice. I sorta agree with Bill..as long as I can call it mine. I'm ok.

Just a small note. I think I will ask Sheryl Crow to write a song about it. Hopefully she can come up with a name. Why would she do it? Well, it just so happens that she and I went to the Christmas Dance together..Enough said..Prince the purple people eater that ate Barney in the haze is strong enough to pull a F**D. Check out Ms. Crow in 1980. http://www.clgw.net/~tonyp/Friends/Notabadbird.jpg

I think the artist formerly known as Prince who is now known as Prince agian was in "Purple Rain"
Whoopie Goldberg was in "The Color Purple"
