I found this mailer from Porter Chevrolet Company in Paris, Tennessee that was sent to my grandfather. "Mr. Super Chevrolet Service" and "Mr. Fitz-Rite". Hope you enjoy.

Those reflect Nate's teachings. Keep up on these original rigs and they'll run forever. Cool collectables! It'd be a great thing to have under glass in the garage right next to where the truck rests!

    I thought it was cool!

It'll be a great addition in the glove box along with my '50 Gulf oil road map of the southwestern USA and my '50 Chevy truck owner's manual. Do you think that Mr. Fitz-Rite is Mr. Goodwrench's granddaddy?:D

Nate, do you have a copy of this?

Published by Floyd Clymer, Los Angeles, copyright 1955? What a resource!

    The crown jewel!

My original copy of the Chevrolet Repair Manual "Confederate Model Series B and N" copyright 1932. It's so dog-earred that several pages are hard to read! Passed down from my grandfather to my dad to me! Priceless. Thanks for letting me share!

    Old Motor Tech Books

Yep , I have all these and many more , picked them up in the early 60's for a dollar or less . my Thompson's guide is -really- raggedy , I've not seen it in a few years , bottom of a box in the garage ya know

Some where I have a F**dson Model T tractor manual in _Russian_ , it was printed before the revolution .

I have Motor tech books going back to the twenties , Audel's from 1922 or so and most of the Voctor Page books ~ he was the _original_ F**d enthusiast and wrote incredible tomes on the constriction and repair of various brand F vehicles ~ good reading if a bit dry . I have several different versions of the
" Fix Your Chevrolet " books , one or two have the cool dust jackets on them ,I have those for other brands as well .

If I know how I'd love to post up some of the old books I have but it'd take weeks or months to do them all .

I've never seen that 1st. posted Dealer mailer - it's _VERY_ cool .

    -Nate

ok, nate. i'm coming to LA and i'm gonna scan each and every one of your books for posterity's sake. we'll make a site called "nate's library". then we can all be as knowledgable as you. wait, is that possible??

btw, very cool stuff, guys. i'm jealous. all i have is a 1956 motor's repair manual.

    AD Hall of Fame

An extra copy can go inside the AD Hall of Fame. Of course the hall of Fame can be based in Kansas, since it's kind of in the center of the US....
