I have a couple of questions, first 1958 with a 283 and 350 trans. What are the pros and cons of using an electric fan over the water pump fan? And if you do use an electric fan do you use a short or long water pump? Again if you use the electic fan do you use just a regular water pump without the fan? Thanks for your help, Les
Hi There Les, I Believe With The 283 You Should Use The Short Style Water Pump. An Electric Fan Will Give You An Extra Couple Horsepower And Better Fuel Economy And You Dont Risk Chopping Your Hands Off Every Time You Work Around Engine With It Running!!! Hope This Helps.
