Ok so I was at a stopping point there for a while. I didn't have any way to get my newly aquired 30 dollar 327 into my 63. I didn't have the money to buy a cherry picker, and didn't know where to rent one around here (oceanside) so today I was outside bolting my new edelbrock performer eps intake on the 327 and..........BAM!!!!! it hit me, me neighboors were out drinking with a couple other huge corn fed iowa natives, so I went over and asked "hey gents you want to put a small block chevy into my truck?" and all of them in a drunk'n stooper said "hell yeah buddy!!!" so I unbolted the front clip from the truck and we unbolted the motor from the stand and carryed it over to the truck and positioned it in!!! who needs a cherry picker it was a great moment in redneck history! here are the results............ps I have changed my mind a lot about the color I want my truck, hense the engine compartment, but I'm sticking with black and red!
