I am putting in a kit from CP that will allow me to replace my original single resevoir master cylinder with a later model dual resevoir. I am doing this for safety's sake.

I am not using a booster.
    I have drums all around.
So far I have learned that I am suppose to get an MC that has a deep bore for the piston to fit in. Apparently the MCs made for boosters have a shallow bore that would be dangerous for this application since the shorter piston might fall out leaving you with no brakes. (Yeah, yeah, I know what to do in case of fall out)

Anyway, when I mounted the bracket I found that the piston does not line up well with the existing brake pedal. Here are some phots:

You can see that the brake pedal attachment is off centered as indicated by the white line that shows where it is. I thought about using the bushing shown to allow the piston to center but I don't know if that would be safe. The bushing does not fit snug on the bolt. What would you guys do that know more about this than I?

    Thanks,
    Gater
