I just bought a '53 5 window and I'm working on the interior. Is there a good link to pre made interiors that I can order or even better is it possible to take an interior out of another truck and put it in mine (ie seats from a s10)
If anyone has pics of what they have done or any tips feel free to send them my way... vduballstar@yahoo.ca
    Thanks
    Jeremy

Jeremy, it sounds strange but I used the front seat out of a 74 sedan deville cadillac. Both doors close without touching the seat. A tape measure and a trip to the salvage yard would let you have some choices. One thing you can bet on is that the seat riser the factory seat sits on will probably have to be trimmed out. If you mount a seat on top of it by covering the hollow section under the seat with a plate it's usually too high. I have seen where some have taken the adjustment rails off and mounted the seat directly to this plate and retained the factory riser. Seat is non adjustable of course. Here's a poor picture of the cadillac seat in a 51 GMC.

Thanks for your imput. I've been having a hard time trying to find something that works the interior and the bed issue. I've been pricing out aftermarket beds and kits and the numbers add up way too fast.
Do you know of any links to sites that give tips and examples of what can be done?
    Thanks again
