That really turned out awesome looking! (Obviously...) Great minds think alike- My paint scheme will be along the lines of how you did yours. Outside of mine being red and white with a yellow band between, my red will stay down as far as yours is int the back part, all the way onto the cab. Once it gets almost to the middle of the door, it will hook back in an arch that throws it up to the hood- similar to yours. They look perty cool painted thataway now, don't they!
Congrats on the first of many trophies!

Way to go teach'!!!:D (Rusty too).

And thanks for the apron. It came today. You are the best. People's choice, huh? Anybody remember coilover's customer a while back that won the people's choice? The truck was a driver and coilover asked him how he won it. Turns out the guy was the only veterinarian in town and put a sign in his window that said, "Vote for me or I'll let your dog die". Too funny.:D Ever since then when I hear people's choice, I think of that story and laugh.

    Teacher,
Your truck looks great! I suspect it might just inspire others to tackle a big job. Wait, that's what teachers are suppose to do!
    Great job,
    Gater

The trick is to use two cans at once- just be sure you know which way there pointing before you push down!

Guys I can honestly say that all the pain and suffering of the last four years during Rusty's rebirth has all been forgooten since I got to drive it yesterday. I quess that is why women can have more than 1 child. They forget...At the show a man came to talk to me from AR..He builds custom bikes and has a 49 Ford and a 54 chevy..He says the 54 is all original while he has modified the 49..He wants to go strictly bikes..He offered both trucks for $5,000..I'm trying to regroup from Rusty and have no desire to tackle two at once. If anyone is interested in the trucks and all the parts, ( He says he has alot and everything goes),,I will try my best to hook you up with this guy. ..Still have some small details to straighten out on mine, but Rusty is parked in my garage tonight..A good feeling.

Ha Teacher, made the group proud:D Always great to see a old AD bring home a prize in a show. Around our parts here not that many trucks so we are out numbered about 100 to 1.

    There you go Teach!

That would be a dream of mine also- Could you imagine how tits that would be to see a long string of ADs rollin' down the road?
I took a step in that direction today. I got the front axle off my 1/2 ton doner. Now it's time to strip the drums, order new ends, ...and smile!
Also managed to take my daughter and my dad to PSU's beautiful lake and catch some fish! Now guess what? A glass of wine and a lit grill!
If you "BREATHER" deep enough, you could probably smell the grilling from there!;)

Just a little humor for this morning. Rusty spent the night in the shop last night. I spent all day Sunday cleaning the shop just to make sure everything was in place. I even placed a small love seat against the wall..Wife found me there at 2:00am..asked me what I was doing, I told her I was thinking on what to do next, she just gave me the "LOOK" and went back to the house.

Congrats teach on the first win. It's not just a trophy it's a first place trophy, and there will probably be many more to come. I raise my glass in a toast to you and rusty, I know zig has already drank his, but here's to you and rusty. Congratulations.

Rusty made the front page. Monday after the show a lady calls and wanted info on the truck. Had a large picture of Rusty and a write up on the front page of the local paper. 77 cars and trucks where in the show. There is a big show with around 500 trucks and cars in May in Piggott, AR. Really thinking about getting feet wet if interior is finished.
I do appreciate the congrats from everyone, I would even buy the first round if everyone was here, since your not write and IOU and sign my name.

Here is a nice truck that the same guy that worked on Rusty did.

I'm not sure, but I'd say someone is a proud papa! You'll need at LEAST a 2" binder to keep all the rightups with a rig like that!
