I have a 1952 235 which has an alternator. The 12 volt wiring harness I purchased has a connection for a fuse box. Do I need to get a fuse box or can I by pass. It doesn't appear like a fuse box is offered. Also, it does not appear like I need a solenoid for my starter but the wiring harness calls for a connection from the ammeter to the solenoid. Can I ignore this.

Yes you can ignore the solenoid wires if you retain the pedal starter - it'll work just fine on 12 volts unless your engine needs 2 minutes of craking every day .

Your '52 came with a fuse box , I'd use it or get another one from partshaus or junkyard....

i've almost burned my truck to the ground 2 times over the years. a fuse will fail before the wire gets red hot and ignites your rubber insolation.. get a fuse box! it's cheep insurance. if you can't find one go to a marine supply house. they make cheep versions for boats that are universal
