I have a 1952 Chevy Pickup with a 47 Hood and 54 Bed. I used a 10 bolt Chevy rear out of an 80's Malibu and found out that it is too narrow. Are the 54 beds wider than the 52? I had to use wheel spacers that measured up to an inch. I really do not trust the spacers. I do not want my tires to hang out over the fenders. I do not mind that I will have to cut the inner wall of the bed, I just did not want to run a 10" wide tires to make it look good. I know the tops are flat and the boards are different. Do you know the size of the mounting blocks are for a '52? I think they are 2 3/8.
    thanks,
    Tex

You could probably go with a custom made wheel. They aren't as expensive as you might fear. You can go with infinite backspacing and wheel widths. Check out a supplier such as Wheel Vintiques. They were very helpful when I was looking at wheels for my 53 with a Nova rear.

Why not go back to Pick-A-Part with dimensions and a measuring tape ? then pick the rear end that'll work and be safer .
