How do you know which wire goes to which of the three poles on the ignition switch. There are no markings. Thanks, Gallo
I'm putting a new harness in my truck so I just cut the wires going to my old switch leaving plenty of wire there so I could match it up later the easy way. I know that doesn't help YOU much, but I'll take a picture of it later and post again. My switch needs LOTS of work. It is rusted and frozen and I had to cut the dash on the parts truck with a cutoff tool to get it out. Patience, dremel with a wire brush attachment, penetrating oil and it will work again. Look for my post late tonight or tomorrow with the pics. Andy
I believe with the switch installed in the truck. On the right side the front post is for the instrument lights,2nd post is for the dome light,3rd post is for the brake lights. On the left side the front post is for the headlights,2nd post is for the tail lights,3rd post is for the park lights. The back post is for the amp meter guage.
Hey Steve, I think you got your switches switched Accurate description of the light switch wiring but gallo is looking for help on the ignition switch.
Forgot the details. "I" is for the coil (dont forget to use a resistor if going 12 volt). "B" Battery. "A" Accesories. Chris
Ok silly me to try and answer a question with a hang over from a party that went way to late last night. As usually Ken comes in to cover my tracks. At least some of you were more awake then me this morning. I apolizige for the error. But if any one needs to know the light switch wiring detail I have already provided it.
