I would like to know what modfications if any that I will have to do to change out my 350 transmission put in a 700r4. My truck is 1982 and I currently have a 305 in it at this time.

Do you have a 2WD or 4WD. Do you have a 700R4 yet ?. You will Need the
down shift cable, if you have a 2WD you will have to move cross member back one set of holes, Here is A site this might help.http://transmissioncenter.net/700R4_Swap_Info.htm Now on trucks I beleve the drive shaft will be ok but you will have to size it up, to see if it's ok.

you will be able to switch them but you will need the four prong plug that controls the shifting on the passanger side of the 700r4 the th350 had the vacum and there is a 1 1/2 diffrence in lenth but the drive shaft should still work
