    Jon,
    Show us plenty of pictures. I am not sure if I want one on my truck. It is a pretty big change in the way the truck looks. I am still trying to make up my mind. Looks like you found one in great shape!

    Fulton Sunshade

    Jon ;

    SWEET ! it is a model 700 ? .

    I know there's a set of original Fulton Sunshade installation instructions on the internet somewhere , I don't recall where tho' . one of the guys here is a Wizard with finding stufff so he'll prolly post up the link in a day or so .

    If the underside is a wierd shade of green , DO NOT paint that part ! wax it up as that's the " Scientifically Deveolped " color to reduce glare off the hood.... be sure to have it masked before you have it re-painted .

    I have no way to share it but I have the full installation insructions buried somewhere , including the paper templates to drill the holes in the correct location for many old cars...

    No need for that "Wizard"

    Check out tailgater's link above and explore it thoroughly. Good info, Gater!

    thanks, guys. i checked out gater's link and there's a ton of good info there, but now i'm a little worried as i could not find any other styles like mine on there. they all have that "dog bone" thingie and two brackets for the center support. i guess i'll just have to give it the old college try and hope for the best. as far as being a 700, i think it may be one of those 1000 series, since it has the chrome leading edge?? i dunno, best i can figure.

    The model or series number is usually stamped in the chrome disc part that also says " Fulton Sun Shade " ~ I cannot read it due to glare in your pic.

    It looks to me like you have the smaller , lower version , they made quite a few different ones for various style of vehicles . I don't think yours uses the dogbones .

    Assemble loosely and hold it up in place with a helper , you'll figger it out pretty quick .

    Hey Jon looks real nice, now you are styling and profiling, will be nice to shade the sun off your eyes and dash and interior. You will like that its a fortunate find indeed.
    Take care,
    Ken

    Looks great, Jon! As you continue on your quest to make the truck uniquely yours, you might consider the stainless strip down the hood to continue the chrome strip in the middle of your shade??
    That shade is in really good shape to have been around 50+ years. Can you share the story behind the find?

    thanks, guys. yeah, i plan to put all the chrome and stainless stuff i can find on there eventually. no big story behind the purchase, really. just an addiction to ebay, and a lucky bid is all.
