Hello, I am new to the forum and just purchased a 1971 Chevy C20 Custom Camper. I know that the truck was a special order and I am the 3rd owner. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the Custom Camper as I have researched it some on the net and not been able to find much. Also the glove box build sheet shows 16 inch tires. It has LT225/75R16 tires on it. I am trying to find out if that is the correct size (aspect etc) tire for the truck. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,I own a 1969 C20,and a 1969 GMC,both trucks has 16,5" wheels and to my knowledge all C20 and C30 from 1967-72 had 16,5" wheels and tire's on them greetings, Nico
Nico, Thanks for the replly. I will double check but I believe the build sheet in the glove box even shows 16 x 8 wheels. Thanks Scott
71 chevy info My dad bought a 70 CST/20 new and it came stock with 7.50-16 split rims. We replaced them with 12.50-16.5 on 1 piece steel wheels to haul a heavy camper. As far as I know, all 3/4 tons at that time came with split rim 16's.
