    Hi all,
Hope you could help with a question I have, will the frame of a 72 blazer accommodated a 396 bbc and would frame reinforcement be be needed for mild street build.

    Thanks

Frame width on a blazer is the same as on a truck and they put big blocks in trucks so I don't see why not? reinforce the frame by the steering box, if any cracks happen most the time they happen there, thats with most 4x4's atleast is yours a 2wd or 4wd blazer?

Another thing you may want to look into is getting an engine crossmember/brackets from a big block pickup, although I'm not sure if they're different for '67-72; or an aftermarket one. If 4wd, try offroaddesign.com. My brother has a '73 K5 with a tired 396, and just replaced the engine crossmember with an aftermarket, then found a small crack in the original sbc one.
